This is the perfect way to be introduced to the world of yoga! Class meets Jan 8th, 15th, 22nd & 29th from 11:30am - 1:30pm
Yoga Basics and Beyond is the perfect workshop if you’re new to yoga or an experienced student who wants to revisit the basics and explore ways to deepen your practice. Learn the fundamentals of yoga poses, including alignment and breathwork.
You will kick off the workshop by covering the basic principles of yoga, emphasizing the importance of establishing a breathing practice and connecting the breath to the movement.
This 4-part workshop series introduces you to the basics and beyond of yoga. Each session uncovers different aspects of the practice. When taken in its entirety, this series will instill a deeper understanding and appreciation for the practice as a whole. The four blocks are:
- Yoga Basics & Beyond 1 | styles of yoga, sun salutations, pranayama (breathing practices), and mindfulness
- Yoga Basics & Beyond 2 | Sanskrit, etiquette, poses and props, and safety
- Yoga Basics & Beyond 3 | benefits, poses and alignment, and healthy movement
- Yoga Basics & Beyond 4 | meditation, pose modifications, and connection
You’ll discover the foundational practices, techniques and guiding principles to begin your yoga journey on a path of personal growth and wellness.
Bring a mat if you have one. We have plenty if you don’t.
Come prepared to have fun and learn something new about yourself.
