Power Vinyasa

Start your week off with a power yoga class that will leave you feeling energetic and revitalized.  As you move through various yoga poses you will focus on your breath allowing it to guide you from pose to pose.  In this class you will create internal energy, build strength, and gain flexibility by flowing through many different yoga poses.  This class gives you an opportunity to not only challenge your body but also your mind.  It is a chance to advance your practice and expand your thinking.  All levels welcome.

Yoga Nidra

5:45 pm - 6:45 pm

Yoga Nidra is a state in which the body completely relaxes through guidance, much like a guided meditation. It is among the deepest possible states of relaxation while still maintaining full consciousness. By bringing your attention to the physical sensations in the body, you become accustomed to them, which allows you to forget the sensation altogether.

This release of the outside world allows you to tune your awareness inward. This method of relaxation is said to be equivalent to two hours of sleep and can help release anxiety, stress, and even lower your blood pressure.

In our Monday night practice, we will begin with a physical body scan, starting from the feet and moving all the way up to the crown of the head. After the physical body scan is complete and you are deeply relaxed, we will move our awareness inward, focusing on our energetic body system, which is also known as the chakras. We’ll explain and scan each chakra, balancing each one and focusing on positive intention to bring total energetic balance back into the body, mind and soul.

The use of props will be encouraged as we want to be as relaxed and comfortable as possible. This class is for all levels, and is suitable for beginners. You may want to bring a journal to record any insights that flow through to you during class.

Gentle Yoga + Meditation

10:00 am - 11:30 am

This calming, slow-paced class is a journey of self-discovery through experiential somatic movement. How does your body move? How much does it want to move today? How does it feel when you move? Can you feel your body from the inside out? It’s a journey of self-care; learning how to honor how you are showing up on any given day and practicing to that level. It’s a journey into self, learning about the whole person, and diving into a deeper understanding of your true nature.

The breath is combined with body movement for a deeper awareness and reflective experience. This class is all levels and anyone working with physical challenges. Individuals with the curiosity and desire to dive more deeply into their own self-care will find this inner work rewarding and possibly transforming.

Head to Toe Gentle Flow

6:30 pm - 7:30 pm

Yoga is so much more than a strengthening exercise. Even gentle poses can ease stress, improve balance, and boost energy.

"Whether you're capable of a flowing sun salutation - a simple series of stretches - or a Tree pose on one foot as your arms reach to the sky, yoga is for you. You don't have to be extremely fit or super flexible. At any level, yoga poses and breathing have wonderful benefits for your mind and your body." - Pamela Jeter, Ph.D, yoga researcher at Johns Hopkins University.

Gentle Movement Yoga

10:00 am - 11:15 am

“Happiness is not a matter of intensity but rather of balance, order, movement and harmony” – Thomas Merton

Gentle yoga helps us to appreciate that we are wonderfully made and that our bodies are marvelous gifts to be nurtured and honored, never judged or wished differently. Movement is medicine for creating change and should be approached like life- slowly - with joy, gratitude and intention.

“Gentle Movement” is a bridge between fluid, easy movement and peaceful pause. It is the conscious and kind exploration of self. “Gentle Movement” is a journey of balance allowing for shifts and subtleties within and around us to unfold, as we gracefully flow upon the calm fluidity of breath. Suitable for all wonderfully made bodies whose spirits yearn for happiness.

Kundalini for Stress Relief

Restore & Rejuvenate

6:45 pm - 8:15 pm

*Starting October 1st 2020

Also known as, “the yoga of awareness,” Kundalini yoga teaches us that we already have everything we need inside of our self. Kundalini yoga helps us to activate this energy within, in a manner that holistically integrates the physical and energetic body, mind and soul. Kundalini yoga is a tool that we can use to strengthen our nervous and glandular systems, while balancing our emotions and healing ourselves from the inside out, to create a more balanced, happier and healthier lifestyle.

New to kundalini yoga or haven’t practice much before? Not a problem! This class is aimed toward beginners and will consist of basic yoga postures to warm-up the body, mantra, pranayama (breath practice), and kriyas. A kriya is a specific set of exercises, breathing techniques and mantras used to unlock energy channels in the body. In this class, we will be engaging in kriya to invite in a sense of well-being, calm and peace; restoring and rejuvenating our body, mind and soul.

Gentle Yin + Restorative

6:00 pm - 7:30 am

The Yin practice is more restful than a power ashtanga practice, more athletic than a nap, and more effortful than restorative.

We offer ourselves to the postures for an extended period of time, 2-5 minutes or more, and we practice resting in the postures in a quieter, more passive way. Physically you may find that you go “deeper” in the poses than in a more active practice. You will be guided through breath practices, body scans and mindful awareness as you hold the shapes. The practice is suitable for all levels. Beginners welcome!
