“Wholeness is preceded by faith, energy, mindfulness, union, and awareness.” PYS 1:20
Immerse yourself in thirty days of regular yoga practice in the company of others on the same journey and feel the powerful benefits of a consistent, mindful practice on your entire being- body, mind and spirit.
Grace Tree Yoga is offering guidance and support for a daily yoga practice for thirty days that includes guided yoga practices and meditation, pranayama (breathing exercises), mantra, and yoga philosophy.
Share experiences with other yogis (one who practices yoga) who wish to start a yoga practice with extra guidance and seasoned yogis wishing to deepen their own yoga practice. Participation will allow you to attend classes regularly, designed for a deeper look into the practices of yoga and a practical understanding of how yoga can improve your daily life. This will not only be a learning experience leading you toward a more consistent and satisfying personal practice, it will be an open forum for shared lessons in personal growth through yoga. Upon completing the 30 Days of Yoga Challenge, you will receive a gift at the end (in addition to your elevated sense of wellness!)!
Satsang and Why Yogis Practice as a Group
The Great Benefit of Satsang: Keeping Company With the Truth
as explained by Sri Guruji Reverend Jaganath Carrera
The following quote is from the great sage and yogi, Adi Shankaracharya, one of the most profound and insightful intellects to grace our planet. It simply and powerfully explains the great benefit of satsang, “keeping company with the truth.” To spend time with fellow seekers is an essential foundation for growth in yoga.
Satsangha twe nisangha twam.
When you are in good company, you are not in bad company.
Nisangha twe nirmoha twam.
When you are not in bad company, you don’t fall into delusion.
Nirmoha twe nischala ta twam.
When you don’t fall into delusion, the mind becomes steady.
Nischala ta twe, jivamukti.
When the mind becomes steady, you are liberated.
So simple; try to regularly spend time with people who share your belief, goals, and challenges. Attend yoga classes, sacred wisdom studies, social events, anything that puts you in that good, supportive company. You will keep inspired, informed and on track. Soon you will attain the goal. You will become yourself a jivamukti, someone who is free from suffering and established in the bliss of their own true nature.
